Privacy Policy – Faderhand
Effective from 16 September 2026, updated 27 October 2026.
1. Controller
BcA. Tomáš Jochmann, DiS., a sole trader trading as Baracca Records, company ID (IČO) 88364101, Dvorecké náměstí 403/4, 147 00 Prague 4, Czech Republic. Privacy contact: info@baraccarecords.com.
2. What the plugin does not collect
Faderhand never sends audio or anything from your projects, does not track how you use it, and contains no analytics or advertising. It connects to the internet only to activate or deactivate a licence.
3. What we process, why, and on what legal basis
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Name, e-mail, licence key, order number, purchase date | Issuing and delivering the licence, recovering a lost key, transferring a licence | Performance of contract, Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Anonymised computer identifier, plugin and OS versions, activation and deactivation dates | Activation and enforcing the 3-computer limit | Performance of contract, Art. 6(1)(b); preventing licence abuse is our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| IP address during activation and deactivation, and when a recommendation link is opened | Limiting repeated attempts, so licence keys and passwords cannot be guessed, and counting a repeated click on the same recommendation link once; the address is held only in the server’s memory and never written to disk or to logs | Legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| The code of the recommendation link you arrived through (for example faderhand.com/r/NAME), if you buy during that visit | Knowing which recommendations bring buyers. Nobody is paid a commission, and the code is not shared with anyone | Legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Contents of support e-mails | Answering questions and complaints | Performance of contract and legitimate interest |
| Sales records | Tax and accounting obligations | Legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) |
The computer identifier is a one-way hash. It cannot reveal your computer’s name, user or contents.
The website uses no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and contains no analytics. When you open a recommendation link (faderhand.com/r/NAME), we count the click with only the link’s code and the time; nothing that identifies you is stored. The code then stays in the page address, and the Buy button passes it to Stripe, so that a purchase during the same visit is credited to that link.
If we send product news, we send it only to people who give separate consent, which can be withdrawn at any time through the link in every e-mail.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe through Link (“Sold through Link”). Stripe and Link process payment and billing data as independent controllers under their own policies (stripe.com/privacy, link.com/privacy). We never see or store your card details. From Stripe we receive only what we need to issue the licence: name, e-mail, order number and the product bought.
5. Who processes data on our behalf
- Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany: hosting of the activation server in an EU data centre (Finland).
- Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, Luxembourg (Amazon SES): sending licence e-mails. The e-mails are sent from the AWS region US East (N. Virginia), USA; see section 6.
- An external accounting provider, for the records needed for tax obligations.
We do not sell data or pass it to anyone else unless the law requires it.
6. Transfers outside the EU
Our activation server is in the EU. To deliver the licence e-mail, your name, e-mail address and licence key pass through Amazon SES in the United States. Amazon Web Services is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and the transfer is also covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses in the AWS Data Processing Addendum.
Stripe and Link may also process data in the United States, under their own policies and the transfer mechanisms they describe.
7. How long we keep data
- Licence data, including the code of a recommendation link: for as long as the licence exists, so keys can be recovered and activations managed.
- Clicks on recommendation links: only the link’s code and the time, which are not personal data.
- Records of deactivated computers: deleted automatically 12 months after deactivation.
- IP addresses: at most 10 minutes, in the server’s memory only.
- Server error records: they contain no personal data.
- Support correspondence: 3 years after the last contact.
- Tax and accounting records: for the period required by tax and accounting law.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to info@baraccarecords.com.
If you ask us to erase licence data, the licence can no longer be recovered or activated on another computer. Data we must keep by law is erased once the legal period ends.
You can complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz) or to the supervisory authority in your country.
9. Automated decisions
We do not make automated decisions or profile users. Blocking a licence key for abuse is always reviewed by a person.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always at https://www.faderhand.com; we will tell you about significant changes by e-mail.
